Amy K. is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist, having completed her Masters of Health Sciences at the University of Toronto.

Amy is a dedicated and committed speech therapist with 7+ years of experience working with children with a variety of speech and language difficulties, including social communication, play, receptive and expressive language, articulation, fluency and motor speech difficulties.

Prior to her experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist, Amy worked as a one to one worker, and demonstrated a passion for helping children with a variety of special needs (including Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Global Developmental Delay etc).

As a Speech-Language Pathologist, she has worked for Toronto Preschool Speech and Language Services and York Region Preschool Speech and Language Program. Through these environments, she was able to provide family-centred care to children and their families.

Amy is certified in a variety of Hanen programs including “It Takes Two to Talk”, “More than Words”, and “Learning Language and Loving It”. She has also received her PROMPT Level 1 Certification.

Amy demonstrates the ability to provide effective assessment, consultation, therapy and education through appropriate evidence based practices, all supporting her clients’ speech and language needs. Amy is enthusiastic, motivated and committed to making the therapy process positive for both the client and their families.

Amy has been providing clients with evidence-based individualized speech and language therapy and communication programs for years helping clients in Toronto, Newmarket, Thornhill, Richmond Hill, Woodbine and area.
