Katie is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Audiologists and Speech language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).
She received her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Marshall University. Katie also holds a post-graduate diploma as a Communicative Disorders Assistant.
She has experience working with children and adults with a wide variety of communicative disorders, specifically, children who are ‘late talkers’ and children on the autism spectrum.
Katie is experienced with preschool and school-aged children with articulation/ phonological delay, receptive and expressive language impairment, apraxia, fluency disorder, and reading and writing deficits. She is Hanen certified for “It Takes Two to Talk”, a family-focused early language intervention. She excels in finding creative and evidence-based ways of maximizing the communicative abilities of each individual client.
Katie’s enthusiasm and positive relationship with clients and their families provides for a constructive learning environment. She performs on the basis that family involvement and education is essential to successful transfer of skills to everyday life.
Katie is a dedicated speech language pathologist who has a deep passion of helping kids reach their full potentials. She is offering custom in-home speech and language therapy programs for clients in Alliston, Beeton, Bolton, Brampton, Caledon, Cookstown, Erin, Bond Head, Bradford, Georgetown, Loretto, Orangeville, Shomberg, Shelborne, Thornton and Tottenham area.
